Yette Events
Client Policies & Terms of Service
At Yette Events, we are committed to delivering seamless, refined, and thoughtfully curated events. To ensure clarity, alignment, and a smooth planning experience for all parties, the following policies outline the terms and expectations associated with our services. By securing services with Yette Events, clients acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.
Booking and Payment Terms
All services require a signed service agreement and a non-refundable retainer to secure your event date. Your event date is not officially reserved until both the signed contract and retainer have been received. The retainer amount will be outlined in your custom proposal and is applied toward your total investment.
Remaining balances are structured in scheduled installments as detailed in your contract. Final payment is typically due prior to the event date. Failure to submit payments by the agreed-upon dates may result in late fees, suspension of planning services, or cancellation of services as outlined in the agreement. All payments made are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
Scope of Services
Yette Events provides services strictly as defined in your selected package and signed agreement. Services outside the agreed scope may include additional planning hours, expanded vendor coordination, additional site visits, design revisions beyond package limits, or extended event-day coverage. Any additional services will be billed at the standard hourly rate and must be approved in writing before work begins.
Event Day Coordination
Event day coverage hours are outlined within your selected package. If the event extends beyond the contracted timeframe, overtime will be billed at the agreed hourly rate and invoiced following the event. Yette Events reserves the right to adjust staffing requirements if event size, complexity, or timeline changes significantly during the planning process.
Vendor Policy
Yette Events acts as a liaison between the client and selected vendors but does not assume responsibility for vendor performance, product quality, delays, or contractual obligations between the client and vendor. Clients are responsible for reviewing and signing vendor contracts, ensuring vendor payments are made on time, and confirming vendor deliverables. We strongly recommend booking licensed and insured vendors for all services.
Client Responsibilities
To ensure a successful planning experience, clients agree to provide timely feedback and approvals, submit requested information by agreed deadlines, communicate any changes in scope, budget, or vision promptly, and maintain respectful and professional communication throughout the planning process. Delays in communication or approvals may impact timelines and vendor availability.
Changes and Revisions
Reasonable revisions are included within your selected package. Significant changes to guest count, venue, event date, overall design direction, or scope of services may require a revised proposal and additional fees. All change requests must be submitted in writing and approved before implementation.
Cancellations and Postponements
If a client chooses to cancel services, all retainers and payments made are non-refundable. Any outstanding balances for completed work remain due. If an event is postponed, services may be transferred to a new date subject to availability. Additional fees may apply depending on scope changes or increased planning time. Yette Events cannot guarantee availability for rescheduled dates.
Force Majeure
Yette Events shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures, public health emergencies, civil unrest, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule services when possible.
Liability
Yette Events maintains professional standards and reasonable care in executing services. However, we are not liable for damages, delays, or losses caused by third-party vendors. We are not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or unforeseen circumstances occurring at the event. Clients are encouraged to obtain event insurance for additional protection.
Photography and Portfolio Use
Yette Events reserves the right to photograph and document events for marketing, portfolio, and promotional purposes, including website and social media use. If clients prefer to keep their event private, written notice must be provided prior to the event date.
Design Ownership
All custom event concepts, timelines, floor plans, styling concepts, and planning materials created by Yette Events remain the intellectual property of Yette Events unless otherwise agreed in writing. These materials may not be reproduced, shared with other planners, or used outside the scope of our agreement without written consent.
Communication Policy
Office hours and communication expectations are outlined within your contract. While we aim to respond promptly, response times may vary during peak event seasons. Weekends are often reserved for active events. Urgent communications during event week will be prioritized.
Confidentiality
Yette Events respects client privacy and confidentiality. All sensitive event details, financial information, and personal data are handled with discretion and care.
Agreement
By signing a service agreement with Yette Events, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined above.
